Privacy Policy

Pip is built on honesty and simplicity. We do not require accounts, we do not collect your name or email address, and we do not sell your personal data.

1. Who We Are

Pip ("we", "us", or "our") is operated by Pritam (individual developer). If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, your data, or the app's practices, you can contact us directly at pritamfinds@gmail.com.

2. Data Stored Exclusively on Your Device

The core functionality of Pip is designed to keep your personal data under your control. The following information is stored locally on your device in secure storage (SQLite) and is **never** sent to our servers:

  • Your daily goals and tasks (text)
  • Your completion history and streak count
  • Your weekly intentions and reflection notes
  • Your display name (if you choose to enter one)
  • Your application settings and configurations

If you initiate a backup of your data, the app will generate a backup file. You control exactly where this file is saved, shared, or uploaded. We have no access to it.

3. Third-Party Services We Use

To process payments, measure product usage, and provide optional premium features, we partner with a select group of third-party services:

Payments & Subscriptions

All subscriptions and transactions are processed securely through **Apple App Store Connect**. We use **RevenueCat** to check and verify whether you have a premium subscription. RevenueCat receives purchase transaction data, a random subscriber identifier, and device details. We do not collect or store your credit card or billing details.

Product Analytics

We use **Mixpanel** to track how Pip is used (for example, onboarding progression, paywall views, locking in goals, streak milestones). This data is completely anonymous and linked only to a random device identifier. **We do not send your task text, reflection notes, intentions, name, or email to Mixpanel.**

Optional AI Insights (Premium)

If you opt-in to use the premium AI insights features (including weekly reflection analysis, intention suggestions, and the daily 3 "top 3?" check), the specific text you write (tasks, intentions, or reflection logs) along with your completion statistics will be securely transmitted to **OpenRouter**, which routes the text to **Google Gemini** APIs to generate recommendations.

Our providers do not use API data to train their models. If you do not interact with these specific AI features, no task or reflection text leaves your device.

4. Local Notifications & App Diagnostics

Pip sends reminders and goal-deadline alerts to help you keep your streak. These are handled entirely via local iOS scheduling on your device. We do not use push notification servers, and no reminder schedules are transmitted to us.

If your app contacts the Expo updates service to check for over-the-air performance updates, basic metadata (such as version numbers and system platform) is transmitted to Expo.

5. Data Deletion

Since we do not store your goals, history, or profiles on external database servers, you can delete your data at any time by:

  • Using the "Start Fresh" tool inside the Pip application settings, which clears local databases.
  • Uninstalling the Pip application from your iOS device, which prompts the operating system to delete all local app sandbox files.

To request the erasure of any anonymized device analytics stored in Mixpanel, or subscription logs in RevenueCat, please contact us at pritamfinds@gmail.com with your app-generated instance identifier (located in Pip settings).

6. Children's Privacy

Pip is not designed or directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please reach out to us at our contact email.

7. GDPR and CCPA Rights

If you reside within the European Union (EEA) or California, you are entitled to certain rights regarding your personal information, including the right to request access to, deletion, correction, or restrictions on processing. Because we do not store names, accounts, or emails, we request that you contact us with your device's internal ID to assist with any data requests.

8. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the policy page within the app or on our website.
